My 40th birthday is next week plus Order Updates

A new decade is about to begin.  I started Agashi when I was 30 years old.   The image for this blog post is from my old sewing bedroom where Agashi started.  I had one sewing machine, one serger, a dress form, $50 worth of supplies and a full sketchbook of designs.  Around 2018, all signs began to cause my necessary pivoting and counting down of my days as a primarily made-to-order brand. 

My 40th Birthday is next Wednesday, and I'm feeling optimistic and excited for the next decade of my personal & professional brands.  June is always extra special with my birthday, our wedding anniversary, and most importantly we are going to see The Cure on the 24th for the first time!!  I get to hear my favorite songs, Burn and Plainsong, live FINALLY! <3

Hope everyone on the east coast was staying safe indoors or masked outside during the wildfire smoke this week.  It felt like we were in Night of the Comet and Bladerunner with the orange haze taking over our region.  I stayed indoors while our air quality was at its worst, because my lungs and allergies were not okay.

I'm behind on my goal of finishing more orders before my birthday, but happy with my progress regardless.  This time next year, I know I'll have MUCH smaller made-to-order drops and faster production time!  I only accepted one Halloween bridal order this year because I need to focus on tutorials and new samples/photoshoots this Fall.  Prioritizing myself with creative boundaries is always the right decision. : )

My 'End of Roll' Clearance items are actually growing into a bigger collection than I originally planned (good news for customers).  I'm still itemizing my massive fabric collection for scrap bundles, DIY kits and clearance sales.  The fabric and colors will be a variety of velvets, mesh and lace.
