New year, new goals! First Order Updates of 2023! : )

Happy New Year everyone!!

I have to come clean.  I took some extra days off during the last week of 2022.  Agashi turns 10 next month!!  These 10 years have been one giant wild ride, but I'm excited for the next decade of adventures.  My only goal to celebrate is to finish my current order queue before the end of February.  Not offering any holiday sales (2nd year in a row) is the only reason why I'm able to work towards this goal.  I'll be concentrating on my batch of custom orders immediately after my made-to-order queue is finished, and by Spring I can start fresh!  I haven't had a zero-order queue since 2017.  : )

Narrowing my color & fabric options is leaving me with an excess of fabric.  I am unsure if I want to offer the extra fabric/materials as a small batch of ready-to-ship designs or as an "end of roll" fabric clearance sale.  

I have my first batch of digital sewing patterns finished and will have them available for instant download next week.  I'm even offering two free sewing patterns.  If your 2023 goal is to learn & start sewing your own clothes, then using free sewing patterns is a great way to start your journey with practicing and experimenting.  

I spent a few days of my holiday break hopping around to a few local thrift stores.  My favorite purchase is a pristine vintage Singer Zig-Zag Deluxe 628 sewing machine for $20!  I ordered a new power cord replacement and the original accessories kit from ebay.  After cleaning and oiling this beauty, it's running pretty well and I can't wait to start using it with my other sewing machines.
